A lamp's Kelvin value describes the colour of its light — and that colour quietly runs the atmosphere of every room. The right value depends on what the room is for.

Living rooms and bedrooms: 2700–3000K warm white, relaxing and restful. Kitchens and bathrooms: 3000–4000K neutral white — brighter and crisper where tasks live. Offices and studies: 4000–5000K cool white to support attention and energy. Outdoor security: 5000–6500K daylight white for maximum clarity. Garden and landscape: 3000K warm white for a natural, welcoming scene.
One caution before buying
Fixtures divide into two families. Integrated-LED luminaires carry their colour temperature permanently — check the specification before purchase, because it cannot be changed later. Lamp-based fixtures (E27, E14, GU10 and similar) let you choose and change the tone with the bulb. Our GU10-based Holo and Retro ranges take the second route deliberately: the fixture is permanent, the light colour stays your decision.
Keep neighbours close
Rooms that open into each other should stay within roughly one step on the Kelvin scale. A 2700K living room flowing into a 6000K corridor reads as two different buildings; 2700K into 3000K reads as one home.
